Swimming Lessons

City of Oxford Swimming Club – Swimming Lessons:

COSC Swimming Lessons Programme, based at the recently refurbished Headington Girls School Swimming Pool, has been running since 2007.  The 30 minute lessons are held on Saturday mornings (9.30am-12noon) during term time.  The pool is 25m, 5 lane, 0.7m at the shallow end and 2.0m at the deep end.

Sarah Hulbert, Mandy Lawson and Rosalyn Porter, all ASA Level 2 Swimming Teachers, deliver the lessons using the old style ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming (Levels).  There are 12 Levels; 1 through to 12 and the classes cover all 12 Levels.  The price of the current term (Spring Term 2012) is £63.25, for 11 lessons and end of term certificate.

At the end of each term the lessons schedule is revised to accommodate all the current swimmers as they progress up through the Levels.  The Spring term 2012 starts on Saturday Jan14th and finishes on Saturday March 31st 2012.

There is currently a healthy waiting list for the beginners Level 1 class.  This term the lower Level classes are all very full.  We have a few vacancies at Levels 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.  For further details please contact Rosalyn Porter, COSC Swim Lessons Co-ordinator: rosalyn.porter@btinternet.com
